T&R Biofab Acquires Stake in Reyon Pharmaceutical… “Beyond Joint Development to a Hemostatic Agent Alliance”
2026.09.28

- Establishing a foundation for ‘responsible cooperation’ through an over-the-counter (OTC) trade, following last year's MOU for the joint development of hemostatic agents.
- T&R Biofab accelerates commercialization by securing a stable supply of ‘Thrombin,’ a core material.
- Reyon Pharmaceutical solidifies its strategic partnership and establishes a framework for mutual growth.

T&R Biofab and Reyon Pharmaceutical have further solidified their partnership, advancing beyond the joint development of hemostatic agents into a robust alliance.
According to industry sources on the 28th, T&R Biofab acquired shares of Reyon Pharmaceutical held by Yoo Jung-min, a specially related person to Reyon Pharmaceutical, through an over-the-counter (OTC) trade. This equity acquisition is a strategic decision aimed at strengthening the bond of the ‘Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Joint Development and Commercialization of Next-Generation Complex Hemostatic Agents’ signed by both companies last year, thereby securing the driving force for full-scale business execution. Meanwhile, even following this transaction, the family of Reyon Pharmaceutical's largest shareholder will maintain an ownership stake of approximately 54%.
Starting with this stock transaction, the two companies plan to generate powerful synergy utilizing ‘Thrombin,’ an essential material for manufacturing hemostats, as the core medium.
Primarily, T&R Biofab has successfully secured a stable supply source for Thrombin, which is vital for the production of hemostatic agents. Through this milestone, the company has not only resolved uncertainties regarding raw material procurement but is also positioned to accelerate the commercialization and mass production system for the jointly developed product.
Likewise, Reyon Pharmaceutical has established a solid foundation for mutual growth in the future hemostat market by consolidating its strategic cooperation with T&R Biofab. By securing T&R Biofab—a recognized powerhouse in Extracellular Matrix (ECM) technology—as a long-term partner, Reyon Pharmaceutical has created an environment to expand its existing Thrombin business scale and focus on substantially enhancing profitability.
An official representing both companies emphasized, “As both companies recognize each other as strong partners extending beyond a simple joint development agreement, we will maximize our respective core competencies to accelerate the commercialization of hemostatic agents and generate tangible results.”
