REYON, A Company That Communicates Openly and Transparently
Reyon Pharmaceutical Accelerates Global Expansion of Thrombin... Full-scale Establishment in Overseas Markets
2026.09.07

- Pursuing supply cooperation with overseas partners... Spurring entry into the global market
- Based on its status as the 'domestic thrombin standard' built on 60 years of finished drug foundation, aiming for KRW 29 billion in sales by 2029 and a 10% domestic market share alongside the new product 'Thrombin Plus'

Reyon Pharmaceutical, the only domestic producer of finished thrombin drugs, has officially launched its full-scale targeting of the global market for its core product, 'Thrombin.' The company is closely pursuing supply cooperation with overseas partners recently and plans to firmly establish a global supply system.

• Focusing on Global Expansion through Overseas Partnerships
According to industry sources, Reyon Pharmaceutical has taken the first practical step toward establishing itself in overseas markets by promoting the construction of a full-scale thrombin supply chain with its partners. The most significant meaning of this achievement is the full-scale entry into the global medical market. Reyon Pharmaceutical is expected to significantly expand its business scale by entering the global finished thrombin market based on its competitive products. In addition, the expansion of mid-to-long-term overseas business in the future, including the Asian market which has recently shown steep growth, is seen as a strong opportunity factor.

• Pride as the 'Standard of Domestic Thrombin Hemostats'... Simultaneously Targeting Domestic and International Markets with 'Thrombin Plus'
At the foundation of this global performance lies a solid finished drug approval and production system built over 60 years since its establishment in 1964. Based on its long-accumulated manufacturing capabilities, Reyon Pharmaceutical is considered the irreplaceable 'industry standard' in the domestic thrombin hemostat market. In fact, as many newly developed thrombin-based hemostatic products in Korea have utilized 'Thrombin Reyon' as the reference product in the data submission drug approval process, Reyon Pharmaceutical has practically served as a milestone for latecomers. Having solidified such an unrivaled position, Reyon Pharmaceutical is one of the few domestic companies covering the entire thrombin value chain, from reimbursed (Thrombin Reyon) and non-reimbursed (Thrombin Plus) products to combination drugs, medical devices, and raw material supply. Based on this competitiveness, the new kit-type product 'Thrombin Plus' launched this year features a combination of freeze-dried thrombin and a closed direct drug delivery system to maximize convenience at the procedural site. Furthermore, it possesses excellent scalability applicable to various medical departments where bleeding occurs, such as surgery, otolaryngology, and dentistry, and is being rapidly adopted by university hospitals and various departments due to its reasonable price competitiveness compared to existing non-reimbursed products.

• Forecasting KRW 29 Billion in Sales by 2029 amid Steep Earnings Growth
The earnings growth is also clear as the pioneering of overseas sales channels and the expansion of the domestic non-reimbursed market intertwine. Thrombin business sales are expected to grow rapidly from KRW 2.5 billion in 2025 to KRW 13 billion in 2027, when full-scale global exports are reflected, KRW 21 billion in 2028, and KRW 29 billion in 2029. Using its solid position established in the domestic thrombin hemostat market as a stepping stone, Reyon Pharmaceutical aims to achieve a 10% market share in the domestic hemostat market by 2029 through an omnidirectional expansion covering non-reimbursed products, medical devices, and overseas markets.
A company official stated, "'Thrombin Plus,' introduced to the domestic non-reimbursed market, is quickly establishing itself in the market by combining a verified main ingredient with a delivery system to increase convenience at the procedural site while maintaining a reasonable price point compared to existing non-reimbursed hemostatic products." The official added, "Using the establishment of a full-scale overseas market supply chain as a stepping stone, we will catch two birds with one stone: dominating the domestic non-reimbursed and medical device markets, and expanding globally, based on our finished drug production capabilities built over 60 years and our unrivaled status as the 'domestic thrombin standard.'"
